I can't keep up with this city. Every year I keep telling everyone how this city defies recessions, and again today I read a story on Yahoo!, quoted from the Associated Press, that Austin has grown in population a stunning 32.2% from 2000 to 2008.

Austin is the capital of one of the largest and most powerful states in the United States. It is home to Dell Computers, Whole Foods and the University of Texas. It is famous for music, competing directly with Nashville and Hollywood. Austin is also home to the first U.S. sales and online operations office for Facebook outside of Palo Alto, California.
